How to play ugly sweater bingo
Ugly sweater bingo is a spot-it game for an ugly sweater party. Instead of calling words, guests walk around and mark squares when they find a sweater that matches: pom-poms, tinsel trim, a 3D reindeer nose, a sweater that plays music, a tag still attached, a homemade hot-glue disaster. It gets people mingling and complimenting each other's outfits, which is exactly what this kind of party is for. The list includes winter and mixed-holiday designs, not only Christmas ones.
- Hand out cards at the door with a pen.
- Guests find someone whose sweater matches a square and write that person's name in it. Each name can appear only once per card.
- The first full line wins. Then hold the vote for best sweater, with the bingo winner as a judge.
Tips for a better game
- Add categories for your contest, such as "Most lights" or "Best pun", so the bingo and the vote feed each other.
- Remote party? Players screenshot the video grid and mark squares from it.
