How to play gingerbread bingo
Gingerbread bingo is made for a gingerbread house party or a holiday baking day, where there is always a waiting stretch while dough chills, cookies cool or icing hardens. The list covers ingredients and spices (molasses, ginger, cinnamon, cloves), decorating supplies (royal icing, gumdrops, a piping bag, pretzel fences) and the moments that always happen, like a collapsing roof, sticky fingers and someone eating the decorations. Play it with the caller during a break, or as a spot-it game while everyone decorates.
- Print the cards, 2 per page, and keep them away from the icing table until the break.
- Called game: use the on-screen caller and spare gumdrops as markers. Spot-it game: mark squares as things happen at the table.
- The first full line wins first pick of the leftover candy.
Tips for a better game
- Classroom gingerbread day? 3×3 cards and the caller on a projector keep a whole class busy while houses dry.
- Allergies in the group? Swap in your actual supplies so the card matches what is on the table.
- Take a photo of each house next to its maker's finished card for a fun keepsake.
