How to play multiplication bingo
Multiplication bingo turns times-table drills into a game. The cards show products (24, 42, 56) while the caller reads the fact (6 Γ 7), so students have to work out each answer before they can find it. The preset has 30 facts from the 2s to the 9s, chosen so every product is different. That means there is never an argument about whether 24 came from 4 Γ 6 or 3 Γ 8.
- Generate and print a card for each student. The caller shows the fact big, and the answer small for you.
- Call a fact, give a few seconds of thinking time, then move on. Don't say the answer out loud.
- When a student calls bingo, they read each square back as a full fact: "42 is 6 times 7."
- Use "Check a card" with their card number to confirm in seconds.
Tips for a better game
- This uses the "clue = answer" format. Write your own lines like "8 Γ 7 = 56" to target the facts your class struggles with.
- Make sure every answer in your list is different, or students will mark squares from the wrong fact.
- The same format works for addition, division or fractions to decimals.
