How to play Christmas bingo
Christmas bingo works for every age at once, which is rare for a holiday game. Young kids can find "Snowman" and "Candy cane" by matching the picture in their head; older kids and adults race for the line. The list mixes decorations, food and winter things (stockings, gingerbread, hot cocoa, sleds), and avoids trademarked characters so you can use it anywhere, including school. Play it on Christmas Eve while the cookies bake, at a classroom party in the last week before break, or after dinner on Christmas Day when everyone is too full to move.
- Print the cards, cut them if you chose 2 or 4 per page, and hand one to each player with a marker or a handful of candy for dabbing.
- Open the on-screen caller and press "Call next". Read each word aloud, or show the screen on a TV.
- Players cover matching squares. The first full line wins, then keep going for a blackout.
Tips for a better game
- Wrapped candies or chocolate coins make perfect markers, and kids keep them at the end.
- For pre-readers, choose 3×3 cards: nine big squares are much easier to scan.
- Running it in a classroom? The call list prints on the last page, so you can tick words off without a screen.
- Want a twist for a second round? Try Christmas movie bingo during a film, or Christmas song bingo with the carols.
