How to play family reunion bingo
Family reunion bingo is a spot-it game: players mark squares as moments happen during the day. Someone says "You've gotten so tall!", the baby photos come out, the grill master takes charge. It gets teenagers talking to great-aunts, because the fastest way to fill a card is to join in. It also works as a called game after dinner when everyone is sitting down, and for big holiday gatherings, when the cousins are all home at once.
- Put a stack of cards and pens on the welcome table, and have people write their name on the back.
- All day, players mark moments they see or hear. The person they saw is the witness.
- Collect cards at dinner, and the first full line (or the most squares) wins.
Tips for a better game
- Add family-specific squares: a famous recipe, the hometown, the uncle who always brings the same dish.
- Pair kids with grandparents as teams. It is the best part of the day.
- Print the call list too: it makes a fun "how the day went" checklist for the family album.
