How to play baby shower bingo
Baby shower bingo keeps guests watching while the parent-to-be opens gifts. Every guest gets a card full of things that might be unwrapped: a onesie, a bottle, a swaddle, a baby monitor. When a gift matches a square, they dab it. The first full row wins a small prize. The list below has 40 common registry items, so every card is different and nobody wins in the first five minutes.
- Print one card per guest and hand them out with a pen as people arrive.
- As each gift is opened, guests mark any square that matches it. A gift card counts only if "Gift card" is on the list.
- The first guest to complete a row, column or diagonal shouts "Bingo!" and reads their squares back.
- Keep playing for second and third place if there are lots of gifts.
Tips for a better game
- Swap in items from the actual registry. Guests will spot them faster, and it nudges people to buy from the list.
- For a big shower, use 5×5 cards. For under ten guests, 4×4 cards finish before the cake.
- Ask guests to write their name on the back. The finished cards double as a gift log for thank-you notes.
