How to play New Year's resolution bingo
Resolution bingo replaces one big, easily abandoned resolution with a card of small, doable goals. Each square is something you can finish in a day or a week: watch a sunrise, try a new recipe, write a letter by hand, visit a museum, back up your photos. Pin the card to the fridge in January and mark squares as you do them over the year. A line is a small win, and a blackout is a great year. The default makes four cards, one for each member of a family or a group of friends, each with a different mix.
- Edit the word box first. Remove goals that do not fit you and add your own.
- Generate one card per person and print 1 per page so there is room to write a date in each square.
- Mark a square when you complete the goal and note the date. Check in with each other once a month.
Tips for a better game
- Keep goals small and specific. "Read 12 books" works on a bingo card, "Get healthy" does not.
- Families can make a shared card and celebrate every completed line with a small outing.
- Playing at a New Year's Eve party? Use the classic party bingo list for the night, then hand out goal cards at midnight.
